• More like a casual chat than an interview
• No technical questions
• Just finished interview, sim check included, sim profile really easy, B734 or 8 depends on draw, T/O with FD on no auto throttle or auto pilot though, climb up to 5000 ft maintain airspeed 210 (stupid me i intitially forgot to throttle back). Sim assistant will take airplane while you get holding instructions and some time to think about it, when you get it figured out and tell them what entry and how you'll hold they'll vector you for an ILS, type of entry also is the luck of the draw. Instructor will start vectoring you, no flight director from here on, to a raw data ILS. They'll give you profile, and all you need to do is call for flaps and they'll set them on schedule, and of course gear.
  Short session 1 on 1 with CP, easy questions (what have you been doing, how did you hear about MAI, etc.) short panel with HR rep, FO rep and senior captain (also easy things like what do you like what don\'t you like, etc.) both were mostly a get to know you type thing.
  50 question ATP written test (I probably failed that).
  $2200/month training pay 'til start of OE, they won't put you up during training aprox 10 weeks, so you definitely need to be local or have a friend put you up.

• I recently completed an interview with Miami Air. We had a company introduction along with any question and answer session. A meeting with the Chief Pilot, meeting with Asst. Chief Pilot and HR personel. A short sim ride in a 737-800 asking to fly an altitude and speed. Asked to enter holding, respond and go straight to a raw data ILS and land. Simple and forward. NO Suprises! After interview 50 question test from ATP written. Study, no problem. Extremely nice people and very curtious. You will feel at home the minute you walk in. Interviewing the way it should be. Respectful of all applicants. A+ rating. (12/7/2011)
